A strong family connection to the real estate injury industry meant that that Clare Cruickshank was always going to build her career around property. Growing up watching the real estate success of previous generations of women in her family, Clare was well aware of the challenges and rewards the industry could bring. So, when it came time for her to move into the world of work, she approached her career in a strategic manner; choosing to see the industry from all sides before deciding on her true calling/
For Clare, starting out in property management was a tactical move; designed to develop the customer service skills and local knowledge that would ground a career in any real estate discipline. Managing the relationship between landlord and tenant has been crucial to building on Clare’s already formidable communication abilities, while giving her plenty of practice at the (often difficult) conversations that come with vetting buyers and establishing grounds for negotiation.
Moving into sales, these skills have become central to her approach. An adept communicator with an easy-going edge, Clare is a true team player whose ability to streamline databases and administer sales processes has made her the go-to girl for the systems that underpin a successful sale. Always approachable, extremely knowledgeable, and always focused on the end-game of an above-expectation result, Clare is well-positioned to take her place in the next generation of property achievers.
That’s not to say that Clare’s entire life focus is the industry. While working towards her goal of purchasing her first property at a young age, Clare’s favourite weekend real estate is the surf beaches of the Mornington Peninsula and the secluded camping spots of regional Victoria. A keen surfer, hiker and camper, Clare’s weekends are spent outdoors and away from it all …although she admits to always staying in range of the on-line sales results as Sunday rolls around!
