Heather Steadman understands real estate. In over 20 years in the industry she has done every possible job in every possible sector. From managing the advertising for an entire office, to dealing with body corporate's, to wading through the detail of commercial leases, Heather's experience has prepared her for anything the market is likely to offer.
With this depth of experience it's little wonder that Heather has a reputation for staying cool, calm and collected, but its her personal experience that underpins her relationship with vendors. As someone who is passionate about her home, Heather's own experience of buying and selling over the years has provided a good insight into how it feels to be a vendor. Her strong empathy for sellers as they prepare to move on is apparent, and she is quick to define her role as helping to make the transition as easy as possible.
Being a local is also important to the way Heather approaches her job. As a local resident for the past 25 years, Heather has strong ties to the area and a deep love for the styles of homes found here. And, as a past School Councillor at McKinnon Secondary College, no other agent has quite the understanding of the benefits of a McKinnon College zone location!
Brought up in South Gippsland, Heather still has strong ties to the country, but says having family on the land, and a home in one of Ormond's prettiest streets is the perfect blend. Nevertheless, Heather says her attitudes are formed by her country upbringing. Well-connected to the community through schools, sport and friendships, Heather is delighted that the faces she sees in the auction crowd are the same faces she sees each day at the supermarket, cafe or local footy!
