The first thing you notice when meeting Brittany is her big cheesy grin and zest for her job. She’s someone who’s always at the top of her game and always very organized with her tasks meticulously plotted out and schedules all in synch. Such is the enthusiasm and vigour that she brings to her role as Rental Field Services Officer.
Britt has lived in Geelong her whole life and joined Buxton after 4 years at an outer Melbourne real estate agency where she was a service manager in both Sales and Rentals.
She loves her new role with Buxton and looks at it as a real step up and something that will set her on a great path in the industry. “I love the flexibility in the role. Being able to work remotely and being out and about all the time has been a great progression for me and taught me so many aspects of real estate”, she says.
Britt’s role encompasses a broad range of facets of the rental department. From completing client routine inspections, ingoing tenancy reports, open for inspections and leasing of properties. It has meant that she has had to study up on real estate governance and in doing so, educated herself and added to her knowledge for what will hopefully be an extended journey in the industry.
Her strengths without doubt are her great communication skills and ability to build rapport across a whole range of clients. Something that is incredibly important when visiting people in their own home. “I love being invited in when people are home. Engaging in conversations and just trying to help people the whole time”. Indeed her role mirrors her own life. She loves being super organized and sticking to a routine. Having young Levi at home, keeps her on her toes and sticking to schedules and routines is the only way to go. Bringing that ethos and work ethic into the office has certainly helped her make her early mark at Buxton.
Brittany has also expressed how she loves working with the Geelong East team. “We have a great team-first culture. Everyone helps out!” She also admits readily to enjoying the role a lot more than she thought it would and has expressed that the scheduling of her work and learning all the intricacies of the industry has been challenging but fun.
Outside of real estate, Brittany is a decorated champion in calisthenics. Having been involved in the sport her whole life, she is a three-time state champion and still competes at state meets. In her spare time when she’s not out and about with Levi and her partner, she loves cooking and socializing around town.
