Barry is known for his warmth, his genuine smile, and the quiet professionalism he brings to every interaction. He has a natural ability to put people at ease whether they’re buying their first home or making their next move and he approaches each conversation with care, honesty, and real attentiveness. For Barry, real estate has always been about people first. He’s someone clients turn to not just for guidance, but because they trust that he’ll show up for them. That ease, that presence, is simply who he is.

What’s your personal connection to the neighbourhood?
Geelong is home genuinely and completely. I moved here when I first came to Australia, and I’ve been here ever since. I went to primary school, secondary school, and university here, so I’ve grown up alongside this city and watched it evolve. I love the beach, the way the bay frames everything, the open feel of the countryside that’s always just around the corner, and of course the Cats. Geelong has a rhythm to it that’s hard to explain until you’ve lived it. I’m lucky that I have.
What do your clients commonly say you do differently?
I think it comes down to how I treat people. Real estate is a relationship business, and my clients know they’re going to be dealt with honestly, kept informed with accurate and current data, and never left wondering. I don’t oversell or overpromise. I bring discretion and integrity to every conversation whether it’s a straightforward sale or something more sensitive. People often say I’m understanding that I listen. That matters a lot to me. I want every client to feel like they were the priority, because they are.
What are some core values you live by?
Integrity, first and always. Everything starts from within how you carry yourself, how you treat people when no one’s watching. Community matters deeply to me too. Being part of Geelong means I belong somewhere, and that sense of belonging drives me to give back. I volunteer at a local immigration organisation (Cultura) in my own time to help newcomers settle into Australia, and before moving into real estate I spent years in the disability sector as a director, helping individuals work toward their goals. Family is everything. And finally, I try to stay genuinely open-minded and non-judgmental because the people I work with come from all walks of life, and that’s what makes this work meaningful.
