Adding colour to your home without a paint brush

h

One of the most common pieces of advice you'll receive from an agent when you're preparing to sell will be to suggest you tone down any bold colours in your home. From bright red walls to hot pink doors, less is more.. this doesn't mean your home has to be vanilla and boring though.

In this blog we take a dive into our tips & tricks for adding vibrancy to your interiors without the paint brush!

Consistency is key

However you approach the challenge of adding colour, be consistent. If you love modern art, stick with that theme. You can have too much of a good thing, of course. So be sparing with your art to enhance its impact.

Pop art

A great piece of art can really “pop” in a living. It doesn't have to dominate the space but can give the room ambience and personality. You can use anything from a contemporary print to an artisanal wall hanging.

Treat your windows

Your curtains can add another splash of colour. Make sure they're pulled back from the windows to let in the maximum natural light when buyers walk through the property.

Fancy furniture

A beautiful piece, such as a stunning coffee table or lamp, are common choices to give a living area a stamp of luxury.

Rug up

Flooring is a facet of a home that doesn't get much attention. However, it's the foundation on which buyers' impressions are built. A stunning rug can bring a room to life!

Cushy number

Colourful throw rugs and cushions can lift a room quickly... If you can match them to the floor covering, so much the better.

Pot luck

Plants have become a popular addition to bathrooms and kitchens. Millenenials love them! The trailing leaves of a spider plant, or the striking green of a palm, can add personality to a dark corner of the home.
