Now in its eighth year, Australia’s highest accolades in residential architectural design are up for grabs in this year’s House Awards, presented by House magazine.

Celebrating excellence in categories including New House Under 200 sq m, New House Over 200 sq m, House Alteration or Addition, Apartment or Unit, Garden or Landscape, Sustainability, House in a Heritage Context, Emerging Architecture Practices and the prestigious, Australian House of the Year, almost 500 projects were submitted for consideration.

Editor of Houses magazine and 2018 juror, Katelin Butler commented: “The shortlisted homes in this year’s Houses Awards reveal the high calibre of contemporary Australian residential architecture. It’s great to see our talented architects and designers experimenting and challenging the status quo, resulting in a series of surprising and delightful architectural moments.”
