Buxton Goes Pink for a Powerful Cause: Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025

This past October, Buxton once again turned pink in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), rallying our offices, people and communities to raise vital funds and awareness for breast cancer research.

Across Victoria, the Buxton network showed incredible energy and heart, from local events to fundraising initiatives that brought people together in meaningful ways. Behind every effort was a shared goal, helping move closer to a future with zero deaths from breast cancer.

Every day, 58 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to research funded by NBCF since 1994, death rates have dropped by 40 percent, but there is still more to do. With more than 21,000 Australians diagnosed each year, continued research is key to understanding how breast cancer begins, grows and spreads and to improving outcomes for everyone affected.

Community in Action

A special mention goes to Buxton Dingley Keysborough, led by Steve Turner, who hosted their third annual Buxton Pink Gala. The event raised an incredible $36,257 in one night, with support from over 40 local suppliers and valued business partners. Over three years, their combined efforts have now contributed more than $92,000 towards breast cancer research.

We also celebrate Buxton Bendigo, whose sold out Pink Bake Sale raised $1,824.20, a fantastic community effort that perfectly captured the spirit of the campaign.

Together, We Can Change the Odds

From pink outfits and bake sales to gala events and awareness campaigns, the passion across our network was inspiring. To everyone who supported, donated or joined in, thank you. Every contribution brings us one step closer to changing the story for future generations.

Buxton is proud to continue standing with NBCF as a Major Partner, now in our 18th year of partnership, supporting world class research and innovation to help save lives.

Together, we can change the odds.
