Despite the stop-start 18 months for Victorian businesses, Buxton has displayed tremendous growth during 2021 and has just announced the expansion into Melbourne’s Inner Westt. Previously operating as Biggin & Scott Inner West (Yarraville) the leadership team, lead by Tristan, Eliza and Lauren Tomasino, and Matthew John, had been well-known to Buxton for a long time, however Buxton CEO Nathan Jones said the benefit of reflection during lockdown highlighted that now was the time to make things happen.
“From a geographical perspective, the Inner West represents a demographic and lifestyle which is extremely familiar to Buxton and its perfectly within our metropolitan footprint, in and around the bay,” said Nathan.
“We were very much attracted by the impressive leadership team and the talent within the business. We’ve known Tristan, Eliza, and Matthew for a long time now, and it just so happened the geographic location of the business was also a high target area for us. So it felt like a natural progression.”
Market leaders in their area, the team boast stellar reputations amongst their clientele, owing their commitment to the highest ethical standards and their intimate knowledge of the market, amenities and community.
Tristan has won numerous awards over his career, including being the Australian Changed Agent of the Year, from 2015 to 2021 he was named Network Auctioneer of the Year, and in 2016, Tristan was ranked 24th in Australia and 4th in Victoria for the Best Sales Agents Under 30 by Real Estate Business Online. Eliza was a finalist for the Real Estate Institute of Victoria’s Corporate Support Person of the Year in 2014, 2015 and 2016, taking out the winners position in 2015. Meanwhile Matthew John, Frank Karavidas and the business are mainstays on the winners podium at the Rate My Agent awards for property sales in Yarraville, Seddon, West Footscray and Footscray.
The Inner West team said the key reasons for the rebrand to Buxton included the high-performance culture, underpinned by some of Australia’s best agents, coupled with a progressive marketing and digital ecosystem.
Signalling confidence in the business’ plans for growth over the next 12 months, Buxton’s expansion into the Inner West is the first in a series of moves which will further strengthen its current footprint across the state, whilst providing cross-collaboration opportunities within the network.
“Buxton’s vision is to be the most recognisable and successful culture-first real estate group in Australia. This aligns tremendously well with the leadership team of the Inner West office and we look forward to a strong trajectory ahead,” said Nathan.
Buxton Inner West will mark Buxton’s 23rd residential office, with offices spanning Melbourne’s Bayside, South East, Inner East, Inner West, Greater Geelong and the City of Ballarat.
