Australia's foremost colour influencers, Dulux, have revealed their forecast for the colours we'll be seeing everywhere in 2019.

On the back of this year's massive wellness trend, four palettes entitled Repair, Wholeself, Legacy and Identity are heavily inspired by a sense of self and identity. Nature, wellbeing, timelessness and individuality are recurring themes throughout the four palettes, encouraging us to veer away from our hectic lifestyles, disconnect from technology and media and focus on our selves.

Repair

Encouraging a reconnection with nature and environment, Repair signals authenticity, taking the wabi-sabi approach of embracing the beauty in imperfection with the palette encompassing deep, earthy hues to remind us of our relationship with mother nature.

Wholeself

Wholeself  is about unwinding and disconnecting by creating a calm, distraction-free space to focus on our sense of self and wellbeing. Gentle, nurturing tones and soft hues inspire a quiet minimalism to help us declutter our minds and free ourselves from our hectic lifestyles.

Dulux colour tip: A soothing tonal palette helps to create a room where you can switch off both visually and mentally. Beauty is found in subtle textural details and quiet colour accents.

Legacy

Marrying classic time-honoured tradition and elegance with modern, contemporary style and form, the Legacy palette values the timeless over the disposable. Iconic, rich hues complemented by soft tones are inspired by yesteryear to create something new.

Identity
