Buxton Brighton Director, David Hart attributes the current market conditions to favorable results for vendors. ‘We are seeing a significant shortage in quality homes coming to market, so as a result the vendors who are choosing to sell at this time are reaping the rewards.’
Most recently, David Hart and Tamara Penno from Buxton Brighton exceeded vendor expectations with a brilliant result at 15A Chelsea Street, in one of Brighton’s most desirable streets. The vendors purchased the home back in 1993 from David for $291,000. The delightful, Edwardian semi-detached residence was leased for 29 years.
The property was advertised with an estimated selling price of $1.9 -$1.98 million and attracted a huge amount of interest throughout the four-week auction campaign. Around 60 people turned up to witness a hotly contested auction with 3 strong bidders. The winning bid was placed by a buyers advocate at $2,200,000. David said the vendors were ‘thrilled with the result and the significant capital appreciation gained over the years.”
It’s important to note that the real estate market is subject to fluctuations, and individual circumstances may change, so it’s advisable to consult with the local Buxton real estate agents to gain a better understanding of the current market conditions and advantages of selling your home.
