Cementing its place as one of Australia's most successful real estate groups, Buxton is starting 2021 on a high, with recent industry recognition proof of its winning formula; its team.

With its people-first culture underpinned by industry-leading marketing, technology, training and innovation, the 22 residential office network has just been named winner of the 2021 ‘Australian Agency Network of the Year’ at the Rate My Agent – Agent of the Year Awards, whilst Buxton Bentleigh won the Victorian ‘Sales Office of the Year’.

Recognising the best and most trusted real estate agents, agencies and property managers in Australia and New Zealand, the awards are given to those who excel in customer service, specifically, direct customer feedback and satisfaction.

Further confirming its industry stature, the network also recently scored ten places in the recent REB Top 50 Real Estate Sales Offices, including three in the top ten – Ballarat ranked at #1 for the second consecutive year whilst Sandringham came in at #5 and Bentleigh at #8.

Based on several factors – the volume and value of sales, days on the market, staff efficiency rates and overall staffing structures during the 2020 calendar year – other Buxton offices in the Top 50 include Chelsea (#15), Mentone (#16), Highton (#22), Hampton East (#24), Newtown (#36), Ashburton (#41) and Brighton (#44).

Speaking to its success, Buxton CEO Nathan Jones said the group has seen phenomenal growth in recent years and yet has never strayed far from its purpose.

“Our vision is to be the most recognisable culture-first real estate business in Australia. This culture was formed around our people, all of our people. Even throughout 2020, when so much was uncertain, our team never wavered from this – our united front has proven successful with these most recent wins. I am so proud of every person at Buxton.”

"Built on the foundation of 160 years in the Victorian real estate industry, we are so proud to continue the legacy set over the past century and a half. Times have certainly changed since the early days, but we believe Buxton is the best it has ever been."

Beyond this, Buxton is also pushing the boundaries of what is the norm in digital real estate marketing and social media in the industry through the refinement of its internal platform, Buxton Connect.

Operating as a 365° system through sophisticated intent data, the platform identifies users who match a property to a buyer profile, targeting those anywhere they appear online through various channels and formats.

An off-portal approach combined with traditional on-portal advertising, Buxton Connect ensures campaigns capture both active and passive buyers, opening up a whole new audience via this omnichannel approach.

"Developed and overseen by our Head of Digital, Mei Cheong, she’s also included creative production for each ad type, deploying them against the different media channels in real-time. It truly is such fantastic technology and is certainly a contributing factor to the overall success at Buxton," said Nathan.

Looking to continue this prosperity throughout 2021, Buxton hopes to recruit further talented and like-minded agents to its expanding network.
