You Wish: Billionaire rents a 'try-before-you-buy' mansion for one year at £1 million

U wot m8?! An 'ultra-wealthy' billionaire family have rented a five-storey mega mansion in Westminster—the biggest private home in the area—for £84 000 per month on a 'try-before-you-buy' basis... in, they're just gonna give the joint a spin for a year to see if they like it enough to buy it.

London agents, Rokstone, who are responsible for the lease—the city's biggest rental deal ever—say the mansion will have an asking price of £35 million should the family wish to purchase the property.

Rokstone MD, Becky Fatemi, believes stamp duty, political weakness and Brexit have caused their mega-rich international buyers to delay buying homes in London, with an upturn in interested parties preferring to try the properties before committing to the big move.

Built around 1904 and renovated in 2012, the home comes fully furnished and includes a bronze Rodin sculpture. Just 'cause.

Here's what the digs look like, but if you do have a spare AUD$64-65 million hanging out, you'll need to wait until the current tenants decide if they want the joint or not...

  • The Westminster mega mansion has five reception rooms for all the times you need to receive people

  • 7 VIP suites for your celebrity mates

  • Eight bathrooms including marble 'His & Her' bathrooms in the master bedroom because let's be honest, no one likes to share their bathroom with their His or Her.

  • An eight-person lift for when you're too tired to walk up and down five storeys

  • A dressing room that's approximately the same size as my house

  • A wine room. That's a room specifically used for drinking wine and displaying your bottles in a heaps fancy way. Probs can't store your goon here, but...

  • An indoor, 13m pool and jacuzzi. The place wasn't quite big enough for an Olympic-sized pool so to compensate for the oversight, they've chucked in a gym and sauna

  • and if you're sick of being indoors, there's 1,315 sq ft of outdoor land over rooftop terraces, a private terraced garden, balconies and patios to take in that fresh London air
