What is your personal connection to the neighbourhood?
Having lived, worked and raised a family in Sandringham, I have a strong connection to the community through local schools, sporting clubs and, of course, helping people with their property needs. I feel well placed to offer clients the best possible advice when buying or selling their homes. I honestly love the area, the unique feel of our quaint shopping villages and delightful tree-lined streets that lead down to the bay.
What do your clients commonly say you do differently?
Clients often tell me they value my straightforward, down-to-earth approach and the genuine relationships I build. Over a 35-year journey running my own real estate business, many clients have become long-term connections and good friends, with much of my work today coming through repeat business and referrals. I think people appreciate the consistency, trust and personal commitment I bring to every relationship.
Tell us about any community initiatives you’re proud of
I’m a Life Member and former President of East Sandringham Junior Football Club, where I’ve also coached junior football, as well as local basketball teams. I spent 12 years on the board of Family Life, a local not-for-profit organisation, and currently serve on the Peninsula Kingswood Community Foundation, helping raise funds to support those in need.
How has your career led you to the role you're in today?
My career began in teaching, where I developed strong communication skills and confidence with people. I moved into real estate and auctioneering, winning the 1989 REIV State Novice Auctioneers Championship in my second year, and have since conducted more than 3,500 auctions.
