What do your clients say you do differently

My clients become like friends. I care about their individual needs, their concerns, their goals and their fears. The reason I thrive in this industry is because it gives me the chance, every day, to help guide and empower my owners so that their property ownership becomes a positive experience and they feel they can contact me anytime to discuss what’s on their minds. My focus on placing the right renter in the right property makes all the difference when it comes to ease of property ownership. I also put a lot of time into preparing properties to ensure that they are well documented and recorded which then allows the tenancy to proceed and end without dispute and that is something I really pride myself on.

How has your career led you to the role you are in today

Starting as a sales administrator in The Whitsundays in my early 20’s (a very long time ago) I have been in love with the industry ever since. Having grown up in Melbourne I am very lucky that I was given the opportunities to work around Australia including Broome and The Murray River regions which were very challenging environments and provided me with a wealth of knowledge. Over the years I moved into positions including working with Property Developers, Council, Commercial Contractors, Owner Corporations and a variety of representative situations including appearances in the Supreme and Magistrate courts fighting for owner’s rights. Through the COVID years I led a large rental department and am very proud of those days where there was so much confusion and change and my team’s ability to really listen and assist during that time was a source of satisfaction for us all. Having returned to Melbourne 10 years ago I now have 4 grandchildren around me and have settled back into home. Working as a Senior Property Manager now allows me to help mentor the newer people moving into the industry and lend a knowledgeable hand to help mould the new era of property management we are seeing develop now and I’m loving it!

Why Buxton

I was so excited when I was offered a position with Buxton because to me, they were always that brand that prioritised “getting it right” in a business sense and that works in so well with my ethos. To me, if I’m not the best at what I do I will keep developing until I am and I felt that Buxton offered me the environment to continue with that attitude. The property management business sometimes feels like dealing with moving sand and it’s part of why I love being in it. Constant challenges, always something new to learn, something to be better at and it needs a company who are willing to move with the times, take on the challenge and to be take on being the best. To me they have always projected a the level above and beyond, solid business ethics and a pride to be taken from what they do and that it why I am very excited to be here

We approach appraisals as a practical conversations, grounded in real data, local insight and what matters most to you.

Speak to us

Your Buxton agent visits your property, considers its features, location, and market conditions, and combines that with recent leasing data to give you a clear, realistic view of its value.

We analyse comparable properties, current market trends, and your home’s unique qualities. From there, we provide a considered range that reflects what renters are likely to pay.

Not at all. An appraisal is simply insight - a way to understand your property's value and your options before making any decisions.

Typically, we recommend an in-person appraisal so we can assess your property fully. In some cases, a virtual appraisal can provide a helpful initial guide.

Agents weigh factors differently - recent lease results, market conditions, and property features. At Buxton, we combine local insight, data, and experience to provide a balanced, realistic appraisal you can trust.
